New Season – Fresh Start

I am so excited to announce a fresh new season at Heart to Heart! Mark your calendars for April 1st, yes, that’s April Fool’s Day, for a powerful new Bible study coming your way! Details and registration coming in the next few days! I hope you can join us!

What a wonderful community we have developed in our Bible study group at Heart to Heart! I love the relationships we have built and the testimonies of what God has done in our hearts and lives over the past couple of years! I am so thankful and blessed that you all have been a part of my life, and I am humbled and full of joy that God has allowed me to pour into yours.

One thing I have learned in my walk with God is that we go through seasons. Sometimes the seasons are a direct result of the leading of the Holy Spirit, and sometimes these seasonal changes are a consequence of our decisions, whether inside or outside of the will of God. At Heart to Heart, we have experienced a little of both!

This past fall, especially toward the end of our Jesus, the One and Only study, my work and life had become so busy that I was too stressed out to give this ministry what it deserved. I needed some time to rest and refresh. Then, however, throughout the holiday season, I stayed overwhelmed constantly and felt no direction for how to proceed. I humbly and candidly confess to you that my heart was not in the right place to lead Bible studies or to minister adequately to you all during this time. I don’t know if it was an attack of the enemy, God working on my personal issues, or some of both. I desperately needed some time off to seek God and His guidance for my life and for this ministry.

At the beginning of this year, I began to have the desire to come back, but I kept feeling blocked from moving forward. I have been a bit frustrated about it. I have had a lack of focus, clarity, and confidence. In these past few weeks, however, I have reached the point that instead of feeling like I am taking a break to realign spiritually, it is becoming an act of procrastination, disobedience, and lack of faith. Additionally, the longing to be back in Bible study and fellowship with you all has multiplied exponentially! I have a renewed spirit of anticipation, and I can hardly wait to get back into the Word with you all!

This ministry and dream that was birthed by the Holy Spirit can only be led by and empowered by Him, but Lord forbid that His work may be hindered in someone’s life because I procrastinated and dropped the ball. I am so thankful for the time He allowed me to refocus and seek His face, but now I am being nudged to take a step of faith into this fresh new season. Will you join me?

In the next few days, I will announce the study title and details, and open up registration. I promise; this is going to be one of the best study seasons ever at Hear to Heart!

God bless!
