Day 10: The Taste of Home and Recipe for my awesome Cinnamon Cream Cake – YUMMY!!!
Oh, taste and see that the Lord isgood;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8 NKJV

Is there anything that makes a house feel like home more than great food? The indulgence of our taste buds with something that is home made with love brings a rush of those warm and sweet feelings of home. I want this for my family. I may not be the greatest cook in the world, but I’ve mastered a few things that my family loves. It just take some practice!

I urge you to try new recipes often, and keep track of your family’s favorites to bring back again often.  Keep practicing until you feel confident about it.  You can do it!
I want to share with you a new recipe I tried this week. It was awesome! This is a perfect fall dessert that will fill your house with the aroma of cinnamon and will impress your family and guests. I got this recipe from a Pilsbury cake mix, but it is so worth sharing!

Cinnamon Cream Cake

Ingredients:
1 box cinnamon cake mix (Pilsbury)
1 cup water
1/3 cup oil
4 eggs divided
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 can cinnamon icing (Pilsbury)
Powdered sugar (roughly ½ – 1/3 cup)
Cinnamon

2.    Spray two 10X13 in. baking pans with Pam.
3.    Line bottom of pans with wax paper and spray paper with Pam also.
4.    Beat 4 egg whites until stiff.
5.    Beat cake mix, oil, water, and egg yolks on low until blended, then on medium for two minutes.
6.    Fold in egg whites.
7.    Pour evenly into both pans.
8.    Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
9.    Lay two clean kitchen towels on counter. Sprinkle liberally with powdered sugar.
10. Invert HOT cakes on towels and remove wax paper.
11. Roll hot cakes inside of towels in a spiral starting with the short end.
12. Set aside until completely cool.
13. Beat whipping cream on high until stiff.
14. Mix in 1 ¼ cup cinnamon icing.
15. Unroll cakes and spread cream mixture on top of each cake.
