If I can do this, anyone can!

Oh, taste and see that the Lord isgood;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8 NKJV

Is there anything that makes a house feel like home more than great food? This is a recipe I tried for the first time last fall, and I dug it up again for this fall. The ladies in my Bible study rave about it, and my husband can’t get enough!

OK, it’s not original. I actually got this recipe from a Pilsbury cake mix, but it is so worth sharing!

Cinnamon Cream Cake

Ingredients:
1 box cinnamon cake mix (Pilsbury)
(I have also used spice cake mix, and it is just as good.)
1 cup water
1/3 cup oil
4 eggs divided
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 can cinnamon icing (or add a teaspoon or two of cinnamon to a tub of cream cheese or vanilla icing.)
Powdered sugar (roughly ½ – 1/3 cup)
Cinnamon for sprinkling
1.    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.    Spray two shallow 10X13 in. baking pans with Pam.
3.    Line bottom of pans with wax or parchment paper and spray paper with Pam also.
4.    Beat 4 egg whites until stiff.
5.    Beat cake mix, oil, water, and egg yolks on low until blended, then on medium for two minutes.
6.    Fold in egg whites.
7.    Pour evenly into both pans.
8.    Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
9.    Lay two clean kitchen towels on counter. Sprinkle liberally with powdered sugar.
10. Invert HOT cakes on towels and remove paper.
11. Roll hot cakes inside of towels in a spiral starting with the short end.
12. Set aside until completely cool.
13. Beat whipping cream on high until stiff.
14. Mix in 1 ¼ cup cinnamon icing.
15. Unroll cakes and spread cream mixture on top of each cake.
16. Roll back up without towels and place seam side down on serving plate.
17. Melt remaining icing in microwave for 10 seconds.
18. Drizzle icing on top of cakes. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Oh my goodness! This is so amazing! I hope you enjoy it!
