The Promised One Bible Study at Heart to Heart

I am so excited to announce our winter Bible study beginning January 15, 2018!

We will begin the new year with an in-depth study of the first book of the Bible, Genesis! Genesis is chock full of history, law, practical wisdom, and some of the most exciting stories in the Bible, but ultimately, we will see how the book of Genesis also points to Jesus Christ.

This is going to be so awesome!

We will use the book, The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis, by Nancy Guthrie, as the foundation for our study. You will enjoy the layout of the book that offers deep, inspirational teaching as well as a thorough guide to intense exploration of the entire book of Genesis, verse by verse.

As Jesus walked with the men on the road to Emmaus, he explained to them how the writings of Moses and the prophets pointed to the Messiah, and how he had to suffer. Luke 24:27 (NLT) says, “Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.”

When Jesus quoted Scripture, what was his source? The Old Testament, of course.

When Paul reasoned with the early Christians, convincing them of the validity of Jesus as the Messiah, what Scriptures did he use? The Old Testament, of course.

It is fascinating to view the entire Bible as one cohesive work, and to recognize how the stories, symbols, promises, and prophecies in the Old Testament ultimately point to their fulfillment in Christ. It makes sense when we see that it all connects and points directly to Jesus Christ.

This is a study for those who are serious about Bible study, but we will also have some fun on our ministry page as well. We want this to be a place where women from all over the world can come together for fellowship, worship, and growth through in-depth study of the Word of God, and where women strengthen and encourage each other in their faith and develop deeper intimacy in their relationship with God. We will grow in knowledge and understanding of God’s Word to help us build fulfilling and God-honoring lives, homes, and families.

We are not divided by theological differences or denominational backgrounds, but we grow together through our mutual love for Jesus.

We would love for you to join us! Please register below to let us know you will be studying with us, purchase the book, and plan to join a small group. I pray this will be a huge blessing to you!
